About Me

CHELSEA BIAGIOLI

mom, alchemist, breathworker, herbalist

I started Olive of the Sea in the Fall of 2021 with a dream of sharing the gentle joys of hydrosols. After falling deeply in love with breathwork and its capacity to release. I have layered it deeply in my day to day life. I’ve expanded my practice to be both hydrosol distillation & facilitation of breathwork sessions. They are deeply intertwined in my own rituals that have been pillars for my mental health & wellbeing.

Olive of the Sea’s values center the importance of healing and creating in community. Showing up authentically and compassionately. Supporting local growers & businesses that hold similar values.

I come from a European Mediterranean lineage (Mallorca, Spain and Italian). And reside on Chinook, Multnomah, Molalla land in the Pacific Northwest. A majority of my career has been spent as a Social Worker in nonprofit settings, this work has shaped my knowledge and skills of being trauma informed. While also being critical of the nonprofit industrial complex.

My herbal journey began in 2017 with the Seed & Thistle Apprenticeship, also known as Atabey and has now evolved into Moon and Mirror Apprenticeship. I did a two year program and continued to be involved in the group for a neighborhood herbal clinic in Portland, OR.

In the Spring of 2023 I completed the Breath Liberation Society Breathwork training facilitated by Chauna Bryant, a seven month program that has a robust roster of guest teachers.

I am a mom to a toddler. Find grounding in rivers and the ocean. My creative outlets are watercolors, embroidery, puppet making and cooking.

I’ve been distilling plants since 2019, seeing the seasonal changes of plants and their scent profile. Growing most of the plants distilled and working directly with growers in the Pacific Northwest. Using locally grown plants I am able to begin the process of distilling swiftly. This both honors the essence of the plants and ensures a potent hydrosol.

Hydrosols are a versatile and gentle water based herbal medicine. Containing small amounts of the plants natural essential oil, and hydrophobic essence. Creating a whole product made from spring water and the plant. It is a tender medicine that is a beautiful energetic support, a great addition to skin care and gentle enough for young ones.

They’ve also been an important part of my breathwork practice. Breathwork uses a repetitive breathing pattern that is an active meditation practice. It has the ability to sync us deeper into ourselves. In addition, to releasing energies that no longer serve us. Holding breathwork space is a profound experience that I am honored to partake in.
